Tips on How to Prepare

  • Plan to arrive on time
    • The 5:00 program starts at 5:00.
    • The 6:00 program starts at 6:00.
    • Please plan to be on time, especially for the 6:00 program – it is important that we set a community-wide good impression for our principal visitors.

Helpful Tips for Nav Parents

  • Talk with your Nav in advance about the importance of being professional and respectful.  Remind him/her that this is not a social event; is it a prepare-for-your-future event.
  • Practice hand shakes with your Nav. 🙂 This is an important skill and a huge professional courtesy.  It would be great if they shook hands with each of the presenters they meet tomorrow night.
  • Consider researching some of the schools in advance so that you can come prepared with school-specific questions.
  • Smile and have fun!  This is a fun next step of your journey!  Think of it as practice for when you’re helping your child choosing a college or job 🙂
